I'm an Alaskan Artist who specializes in creating original works of art out of fiber. My art is inspired by the marine life and flora of Southeast Alaska. Each piece of art reflects the beauty of this awesome place--I call home.

 

I spend most of my free time in the great outdoors--combing the many beaches, hiking in the rain forest, or fishing in the pristine waters. My handmade papers are made from local plants, natural fibers, and recycled paper products. I gather and prepare the plants in the summer months and freeze them for future use.  At the present time I offer 32 differnt kinds of paper with different Linoluem prints of Alaskan animals. 

 

I also cast local fish and shellfish to make a permanent mold. These molds are then filled with handmade paper pulp--resulting in a beautiful natual, true color Alaskan fish. I have many differnt fish the choose from--Black Bass to Trout.

 

Presently I have been making originals out fabric. Ravens are my favorit, however I make many different marine aniamals as well.  I love pairing cool fabric combinations to create the perfect animal.
